Congratulations to Smith County Mountain Bike Racers on a great season. The following RACERS were awarded this year by the TBRA for an OUTSTANDING season:
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
For minor bicycle repair, tune-ups, and a few accessories come by the gym and check out our bike shop. We have limited resources, but can usually deal with you quickly so that you can hit the road or the trail.
On Tuesdays there is a Night Trail Ride in Sykes. Thursday Night is Bearwaller Gap Trail Ride in Defeated. Get yourself a set of lights and join the weekly 5:30 PM Rides.
